Saskia Baas and I wrote this piece in light of the recent escalations of violence in Syria, and the problematic selectivity we observed in the response to these events among prominent leftist political publications and public figures.
I’m very happy to have been asked to write an entry on affect and emotion for the Keywords section of the Handbook of Migration and Media edited by Koen Leurs, Kevin Smets, Myria Georgiou, Saskia Witteborn and Radhika Gajjala and under contract with SAGE.
