NWO Open Competition XS Research Grant

I’m very excited to be embarking on a new project, enabled by one of the NWO Open Competition grants. It’s about tracing the influence of tech platforms on the production of climate and sustainability knowledge. Specifically, the project is interested in understanding the nature of the platform media industry’s (potential and direct/indirect) influences on academic knowledge production about climate communication and sustainability. So, in the new calendar year, I’ll be supervising a junior researcher and co-organizing an international workshop within a research project that creates new connections between two areas of scholarship: platform studies and science studies. I’m very happy for the opportunity to be doing this curiosity-driven, non-programmed research project of my own design.
